Would you like to learn more about your community?  In Gawler we have such a huge variety of community groups, charity organisations and local businesses that have so much information and experience in all sorts of areas, right on our doorstep.  Here at the Evanston Gardens Library we have created our Start-Up Mondays program to connect our customers with this wealth of knowledge.  We’ve had topics on just about everything! From car maintenance, Justice of the Peace services, hearing services and calligraphy demonstrations to local author talks, community radio, NAWMA waste and recovery services and dementia information sessions.

Our next topic will bring the Friends of Para Wirra Conservation Park to share their information and stories about what they do to help with conservation of the natural environment and protection of the local flora and fauna.  The park is located in the South Australian Adelaide Hills area and is a beautiful region of our country.  I won’t give away any more information, you’ll need to come into the library on Monday 25th June at 10:30 am to find out more about this wonderful park and the volunteers that support it.

We have many more topics planned for the coming months and you will find this information on our Sign Up calendar.  There will be a Quilling workshop planned for the July school holidays, a presentation from the Northern Carers Network and the Fern Society will visit us.  All this is FREE for you to join in and there is no need to book, just come down to Evanston Gardens Library at 65 Angle Vale Road, Evanston Gardens. We hope to see you on Monday!
